Howdy y'all! It's the middle of the night here, and I'm chilling out, having finally finished a drawing :) I'm looking for some input on the title to this piece; it's a pen and ink drawing of some of my guys from the 82nd. The original plan was to go with "Heavy Weapons", as we were a heavy weapons company. However, none of the heavies are actually mounted or depicted, and the past few days I've been leaning more and more towards "Rough Men" as in "we sleep peaceably in our beds because rough men stand ready to do violence on out behalf", and, well, because they're a disreputable and unsavory looking lot! :D Do any of you have an opinion?

Grrr. So, I was back at my folks place in Minnesota for the first week of January (look for some new stained glass stuff once we get it propperly photographed!), and I'm frustrated. On more than one occasion, I was lectured about how "you need to start making money off of your artwork". Mostly, about how I need to start to get into galleries, push myself, sell myself, hit the marketing thing hard. ...none of which I'm particularly interested in doing. My folks have this attitude that my primary goal in putting time and effort into artwork should be a monetary return. Bullshit. I humored them, 'cause they're my parents, but freakin' bullshit
