Fae Froud Challenge 2 Version 2
Marker and Pen on Bristol
February 2012
Jessica over at =faestock puts out a challenge every couple of weeks; this go around it was along the lines of the Faerie works of Brian Froud. I decided to go for a more colorful, and yet etherial look, something along the lines of the Cherry Blossoms in the journal sketch of Torie I did a while back. I wanted to add in some color and some fancifal elements as well. In any case, go check out Jess's page, maybe get in on the competitions/challenges!
I will say, I'm going to take a few shots at this using the lineart as a base, and I welcome you to do the same! The outlines are here [link] if you'd like to use them as a base; just be sure to give credit, and link back; I'd like to see y'alls take on things
Also, Jess totally hooked me up with a premium membership, so while it's good, feel free to leave a critique!

I love your use of negative space to make the faerie feel like she can reach out and touch you. The technique with the markers also gives it great diminishing depth! Very well done!
