Experimenting with charcoal, blending, the whole nine yards. I've spent so much time with precision and graphite, that having something more instantaneous, with better values, to boot, is a welcome break. Trying to work from sight, not go to the grid so to speak. I have to get back to a few pieces on the desk, but this was a great diversion.
I'm really pleased with the way that this one came out. I think that the style and medium lend themselves to moodier pieces, without so much precise detail (such as matched eyes, clothing, etc). I used the shot "Dont Bring Me Down" [link]
as a reference; I've loved her shot for ages and ages, and even had it as a desktop for a while
Its one of those that you keep around hoping to get to it one day, but never quite do. Until you do lol!
